Job Purpose
We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our Corporate Tax Department. Our Tax Manager manages and provides advisory on tax-related issues for a number of legal entities in Europe, including but not limited to jurisdictions such as Portugal, Norway, and the Netherlands. In this role you will be advising project teams, business units, business segments, and legal entities on taxation issues, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations. Additionally, as a member of a Corporate Tax team you will develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax positions and minimize liabilities. The role involves conducting thorough tax research and analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning. Our Tax Manager liaises with external tax advisors and authorities to resolve complex tax matters and ensure accurate reporting; monitors changes in tax legislation to assess their impact on the organization, providing timely updates and recommendations.
Job Description
- Main area of expertise is Corporate Income Tax, whereas knowledge of VAT and indirect taxation principles would be an advantage.
- Researches, manages and advises on tax compliance, tax audits, quarterly tax provisioning and reporting, monitoring tax law changes, tax implications on tenders, equity transactions and restructuring
- Manages preparation of Corporate Income Tax returns;
- Advises management regarding tax impacts of business activities
- Coordinates, facilitates and resolves tax audits
- Ensures that the organization complies with periodic tax payment, information reporting and other taxing authority requirements

You are meant for this job if:
- Strong background in tax law and regulations
- Experience managing tax compliance
- Tax Accounting experience
- Passion for providing exceptional tax planning and advice
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
Key qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Good knowledge of Corporate income tax principles,

Understanding of International taxation principles
Additional Skills
- Knowledge of International Corporate Tax principles
- Tax Accounting experience (understanding of principles under USGAAP)
- Good communication skills in English (Portuguese is an advantage)
- Knowledge of Tax Accounting Software, such as Corp Tax
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Teamwork skills
