A Day in the Life

As the Spa & Wellness Assistant Manager at Rosewood Amsterdam, you start your day by overseeing the spa’s daily operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and embodies the luxurious standard our guests expect. You will support the Spa & Wellness Director in delivering exceptional spa and wellness experiences to our guests and assist in curating unique programs, workshops, and retreats. You will assist in managing staffing, maintaining inventory, and ensuring service excellence, all while fostering a welcoming, serene environment that encourages personal transformation and well-being. Each day offers a chance to create unforgettable wellness experiences that enhance guests’ connection to themselves and the natural world.

Job Overview

The Spa & Wellness Assistant Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Spa & Wellness Director by ensuring exceptional service, promoting wellness initiatives, and driving the Asaya brand’s vision. In this role, you will optimize spa operations, develop a high-performing team, and introduce innovative wellness offerings that enhance our guests' holistic spa experiences. Your responsibilities range from overseeing spa bookings and activities to inspiring and developing a team dedicated to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Optimize Spa Operations:

Manage and streamline daily spa functions to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
Manage and maximize spa appointment bookings
Oversee staffing schedules, inventory, and retail, supporting operational flow and profitability.
Maintain compliance with Asaya Wellness standards and ensure all team members uphold Rosewood’s brand values.

Inspire Imagination:

Collaborate with the Spa Director to plan and execute wellness events, workshops, and retreats.
Enhance marketing efforts, raise brand awareness, and create a rejuvenating environment that enriches each guest's experience.
Lead the team in delivering memorable and transformative wellness services.

Support Team Development:

Train, mentor, and motivate spa associates, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Lead by example, inspiring associates to uphold the Asaya wellness philosophy and exceptional service standards.
Monitor team performance, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for associates and guests alike.

Financial Responsibilities:

Support revenue growth through spa bookings, retail sales, and membership enhancements.
Track financial performance, helping to meet and exceed the spa’s revenue goals.

Talent & Culture Responsibilities:

Champion Rosewood’s values, promoting wellness and positive attitudes within the team.
Embody and promote a wellness-centered lifestyle, inspiring change in guests and associates.
Maintain professional grooming and appearance, reflecting Rosewood’s lofty standards.

Information Security & Brand Integrity:

Protect guest and staff records, ensuring confidentiality and data security.
Uphold Rosewood’s brand vision and mission, ensuring integrity and consistency in all spa operations.

Qualifications & Skills

Completed training in the spa or wellness sector with a minimum of three years’ experience.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-focused approach.
Friendly, proactive, and organized, with a powerful sense of responsibility and ability to work independently.
Enthusiasm for continuous learning and adaptability to meet evolving guest needs.
Proficiency in spa software or computer skills with the ability to learn the spa system.
Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
